True or False: Most Employees want to do a good job every day.

  1. I would say most employees want to do a great job every day. But it takes a little work. In many organizations we have created bureaucracies that slow people down or even thwart them form doing their best.

    Then there are the scoldings they get when they don't follow the rules (regardless of the outcome) and well I could go on.

    I go back to Daniel Pink and his book Drive and the innate motivators of us all 1) a level of autonomy, 2) a way to develop mastery and 3) a sense of being a part of something bigger than a paycheck or a bottom line.

    I'll be interested to see what others say
